The Business Development Lead Engineer will manage the technical sales activities for the company by identifying and contacting potential clients, presenting product value propositions, understanding prospect/customer needs, proposing technical solutions, involving other company experts in the process, and negotiating software licensing agreements.


Basic Qualifications

  • Mechanical Engineering or Computer Science degree
  • Business Master’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Desire/ability to grow into a senior leadership level position working with company founders
  • Good communication skills to work with prospects and customers
  • Ability to travel 5-7 days/month

Specific Qualifications

  • Knowledge of or desire to learn Computer Aided Engineering and Analysis technology (at a high level)
  • Ideally, 2-5 years’ experience in Computer Aided Design or Engineering industry, technical sales or development, or experience at end user customer company

Responsibilities

  • Research companies who are sales prospects and present technology to prospects
  • Develop customer prospect relationships and propose technology solutions
  • Use Customer Relationship Management system to organize sales pipeline
  • Reports to CEO and company founders with potential to become part of senior management team in the near term
