Collaboration with NASA will deploy Intact.Simulation for Additive Manufacturing

May 25, 2020
Intact Solutions announces a new collaboration with NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) funded by DARPA (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency) to deploy Intact.Simulation technology to solve challenging simulation problems in additive manufacturing.

Intact’s fully interoperable moment-based simulation technology offers the unique ability to apply both new and legacy simulation codes, without pre-processing, to a virtually unlimited range of geometric and material representations.   This project will utilize this technology and demonstrate the ability to capture anisotropy of thermal and structural material properties in additive manufacturing at material and part scale. The techniques will ultimately be used to predict the performance of additively manufactured components.
